The standard format for FAU University Press publications is DIN A5, while the format for FAU Forschungen publications is 17 x 24 cm. To avoid impairing quality, formatting requirements must be met before generating the PDF file. Ensure that fonts are correctly embedded. Images must have the required dpi resolution (300 dpi) for printing. They should have the best possible quality to ensure clear printing. CMYK should be used for colour images. RGB files will be converted to CMYK for printing purposes, which may result in colour deviations.
Where appropriate, image credits must be cited. In the publishing contract, the author must confirm that they hold the rights of publication. Please always make sure that you obtain any written copyright authorisation in good time.
